In light of the announcement by The President of South Africa, Mr. Cyril Ramaphosa on Monday, 23 March 2020, of a 21 day national lockdown commencing at midnight, 26 March 2020, all schools will continue to be closed to staff, parents, visitors and students, until Friday, 17 April 2020.
Our priority is to comply with this directive but also to maintain the continuity of your children’s education and support for all of our students. We have put in place a guided online curriculum and online teaching support for all students from Tuesday, 14 April 2020 until Thursday, 16 April 2020. Should our Schools not be able to open on 17 April, our guided online curriculum and online teaching support for all students will remain in place during the entirety of the school’s closure. Details of the virtual learning curriculum will be sent individually to parents.
Guided online learning will be provided from 07:30 - 15:30 hours, Monday to Friday (phase dependent), for students of all ages for as long as the school remains closed; our priority remains to provide high quality lessons and to continue the support of our children in their education.
Should you have any technical difficulties in accessing any of the online applications being used, your child’s class teacher will be available online or he/she will be able to escalate your query to our IT Managers for support. If there are any updates to these arrangements, we will advise you immediately. We ask for your support at this time as we all work together through these exceptional circumstances.
