The Reddam House Helderfontein campus opened its doors in January 2017, welcoming students from one year old to Grade 9 in the first phase of development. Grade 10 to 12 will be added in ensuing years. Affiliated to the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) and offering a diverse, stimulating subject choice, highly qualified, dynamic, experienced teachers will be the custodians of your child’s future.

Premium Boarding

The Reddam House Helderfontein boarding from 2018 and will comprise three buildings catering for boys and girls from Grade 7 to 12. The facility will accommodate termly and weekly boarders who will benefit greatly from the comforts and accessibility of a unique ‘home-away-from-home’ experience within a complete educational atmosphere. Students have the luxury of residing in boutique apartment style rooms, complete with ensuite facilities, private study areas, concierge services, to name a few. The school will arrange transport to and from airports/bus terminals at the end and start of each school term for students returning home for school holidays.

The Reddam House Helderfontein campus boasts beautiful views, a lush greenbelt and well-established trees, located within an estate bordering the Jukskei River and known for its natural beauty, walking trails, mountain bike tracks, numerous play parks and picnic areas. The school’s architectural design is in keeping with this rustic environment, with wood and stone-clad walls. The tranquil setting provides an atmosphere conducive to discovery and learning.

The Early Learning School follows the Reddam House Sydney model with a strong Reggio Emilia-inspired approach to teaching. The school features a very large, central piazza – designed as an interconnected space to exhibit children’s work – fostering interaction, curiosity, exploration and celebration.

Reddam House Helderfontein offers extensive facilities, including three sports fields for rugby, cricket and athletics, tennis courts and a dynamic sports programme administered by qualified coaches, incorporating cricket, golf, hockey, netball, rugby, soccer, squash, tennis, equestrian and water polo, amongst others. An indoor pool is planned for the second phase.

Reddam House Helderfontein provides a vibrant cultural offering, with specialist teachers in the fields of art, drama, dance and music offered in the College to Grade 12.
